One of the major criteria for a healthy building is Indoor Air Quality; Calcite has extensive experience since 1993 in Indoor Air Quality assessment and mitigation through the construction of Green Healthy Buildings in Canada. Since 2003, the Indoor Air Quality Management Group of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region has implemented an IAQ Management Programme for the certification of offices and public place in Hong Kong under a 2-Level IAQ Objectives (Excellent and Good Class).

To strive for a higher certification quality, Calcite’s professional personnel are responsible for the following activities during the certification process.

  • Preliminary Walk-Through Inspection

The preliminary survey offered by Calcite Indoor Environment Services Ltd. consists of four consecutive stages:

1.      Information consolidation with the facility management office

2.       A walkthrough survey and inspection

3.      Discussion with the facility management, owner and correlation of the survey results with the past complaint records

4.       Initial investigates on site, evaluation and suggestions for mitigation.

  •  Intensive Measurement

The aim of this measurement is to quantify the Indoor Air Quality (IAQ) in our client’s premise. The results of this study would be used for the project management team and owner to understand the quality of indoor air in the office and to apply an Indoor Air Quality Certificate (Excellent or Good Class) if qualified.
